After the success of the inaugural Casa Versalles project in December 2020 a community of galleries meet for a second time to present curated selections in a face-toface format. The second edition of the Casa Versalles project includes CURRO, Galería Agustina Ferreyra, Galerie Nordenhake, Gaga, kurimanzutto, Labor, OMR, Pequod Co., PROYECTOS MONCLOVA and Travesía Cuatro. The past experience proved the importance between galleries, institutions, and their ability to reactivate interest in the contemporary Mexican art sector. For this reason the participating galleries will again donate 10% of sales to two domestic institutions: MARCO (Museum of Contemporary Art of Monterrey) and MAZ (Zapopan Art Museum), having previously supported Museo Tamayo and Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil in 2020.The participants once again seek to create a space in which artists, galleries, collectors, and art professionals can convene after a prolonged period of separation, reinforcing the importance of creative and social connection. Casa Versalles will take place from June 16 - 20, 2021 in a 19th century home in the Colonia Juarez neighborhood of Mexico City. Maintaining respect for local health and safety measures is a priority which are the principles behind making the event private to those invited by participating galleries with an appointment.
