Malik joined the gallery in 2016 and has since demonstrated a profound dedication to artists, the gallery and to the art ecosystem more widely. Malik possesses a keen sense of aesthetics, exhibiting exceptional leadership and fostering strong relationships with artists, curators, and international institutions alike. His vision has also led to the expansion of the gallery's reach, opening new ventures through his incursion in strong art scenes across Asia and Europe.
Prior to joining kurimanzutto, Malik studied at Durham University, followed later by a Masters in History of Art with Professor Briony Fer at University College London. Since 2019, he has been an active member of the Development Committee of the South London Gallery, UK.
This appointment is a reflection of his significant contributions to the gallery's achievements. We extend our warmest congratulations to Malik and are thrilled to continue building our future together.
