booth f20

For Art Basel Miami Beach 2022, kurimanzutto presents a selection of new and recent works by its international roster of artists. Our highlights include a special installation by Danh Vo which begins the presentation, with the installation speaking to the beauty of collaborative relationships across painting, sculpture and photography. In a different vein and medium, where Oscar Murillo refers to water as a starting point for their research into social blindness, a new painting that features the natural landscape by Roberto Gil de Montes explores the hidden images, forgotten and imagined stories of the exuberant everyday life that he sees in his hometown of La Peñita, a small fishing town in Nayarit, Mexico. Intimate in form, new works on paper by Gabriel Orozco and collage pieces by Haegue Yang reveal abstraction in the handmade. References of the classical and the technological are conflated and explored by Adrián Villar Rojas, whilst in a very different sculptural language Nairy Baghramian and Petrit Halilaj feature examples of their works that reveal lines of inquiry into form, representation and meaning.
