Gabriel Sierra: Thus far

may 27 - june 13, 2013

Peephole, Milan

For years, Gabriel Sierra has been contemplating the idea of a house that works like a calendar, one in which each room is devoted to be used only a single day of the week. Whoever lives in this house would have to move from room to room everyday, not being able to return to one until a full week has passed, and there is no turning back. The space dictates where to spend time and time dictates the structure of movement in space.

Thus Far physically materializes this idea— which was initially written as a seven-chapter book of the architect who constructs this house, Arnulfo Cortina.
